Our French classroom was transferred into the Café du Chêne on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd March as children from Year 3 upwards ordered in French and eagerly consumed a variety of French breakfast products including croissants, tartines, fruit and jus d’orange, while accordion music played gently in the background.
Elsewhere in the school, teachers taught French-themed cross-curricular lessons, including playing Boules in PE lessons and the daily menu was displayed in French on the big screen and read out by our native French-speaking pupil Antoine – who also recited the Lord’s Prayer in French at assembly. French flag bunting hung in the hall and children and parents were welcomed by Bienvenue! signs at the entrances.
Super génial!
