On the morning of Thursday 4th May, the School Librarians and I ran a charity book sale to raise money for the DEC’s Syria/Turkey Earthquake appeal. So many books were brought in by students, and we have raised almost £200 which we will send off to the appeal. Leftover books have been bagged up and will be collected by the Children’s Book Project which gifts preloved books in good condition to children in the UK with few books of their own.
I am thrilled that we have been able to help two fantastic charities and that we have shared our love of reading too. A big thank you to Oscar and Lilia for all their hard work on the day.
