U10 & U11 Girls’ Hockey v Cumnor House – Wednesday 12th February 2025

Our Year 5 and 6 girls put on a fantastic display of skill, teamwork, and determination in their recent hockey matches against Cumnor House School. It was a great afternoon, with all of our Year 5 and 6 girls getting the opportunity to play in some competitive matches.

The Year 6 teams were in dominant form, winning all their matches with impressive performances across the pitch. Their strong passing, solid defending, and sharp finishing helped them secure a clean sweep of victories.

Year 6 ‘A’ team: 7-1 win & 6-1 win

Year 6 ‘B’ team: 6-0 win & 3-0 win

In Year 5, the A team had a good set of results, winning one game and drawing another in a thrilling match. They showed great resilience and teamwork, working hard in both attack and defence. Meanwhile, the B team played two close matches but were unfortunate to come away with narrow defeats. Despite the results, their effort and enthusiasm were outstanding in what was a first hockey match experience for a lot of the girls.

Year 5 ‘A’ team: 4-4 draw & 4-1 win

Year 5 ‘B’ team: 4-0 loss & 2-1 loss

Throughout the afternoon, the girls demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, learned valuable lessons, and, most importantly, had lots of fun. Well done to everyone who took part and to the parents who came along to support.
