We arrived at Caterham School at 8.30 on a beautiful Saturday. The sun was shining as Oakhyrst Grange took to the pitch to start their warm up. The first match was against Aberdour School which we unfortunately lost 6 – 0, then came Reigate who won 3 – 0, but we were starting to work as a team and showing real teamwork.
Elmhurst was next and we fought back a goal when we were 2 – 0 down, Hartley managed to slip one past the Elmhurst goalkeeper. Finally we played Caterham for the tournament plate and though we lost 2 – 0 we were communicating well and playing as a team.
We all agreed that though we lost we had such fun playing with our new team. Special mention to Vincent and Jude who played so well in goal, Connie for being a rock in defence and Hartley for the great goal.
